IT Application Specialist

We are seeking an entry-level IT Application Specialist with superb interpersonal skills and some database knowledge to help us support our customers with a variety of different application software.  You will work under a senior consultant mentor, who will introduce you to new technologies and experiences. If you find yourself with an excitement for solving problems and delivering solutions, we want to get to know you.  Our consultants work with many different technologies including Microsoft SQL, SSRS, Visual Studio, HTML, JavaScript, iMIS (Industry Specific CRM) and others. As part of the consulting team, you will be exposed to a wide range of technology and apply that to the business needs of our customers, building relationships and seeing your solutions in action!

Work Location:  Hybrid work schedule; 2-3 days in office, for at least the first six months during the training period. Time in the office will be reviewed after training period.  Some travel to customer locations in the Chicago metro area is required.  Our main office is located outside of the city of Chicago in suburban West Chicago, IL. 

What would be my responsibilities?

Working under one of our senior consultants the IT Application Specialist will have the opportunity to grow their technical skillset in a supportive environment that promotes collaboration and education. More specifically, duties include:

  • Support customers with their database management systems.
  • Help clients configure their systems.
  • Create and develop reports for clients.
  • Conduct analysis for clients to help improve business processes in the system.
  • Finding solutions for clients to help with any technological system challenges.
  • Investigate and resolve customer data issues, including data entry errors, missing information, and inconsistencies.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

What qualifications and abilities are preferred? 

  • Associate degree or B.S./B.A. degree or equivalent experience.
  • Some experience and understanding of database reporting.
  • Passion for IT and a desire to learn new technologies and tools.
  • Excellent customer service, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational talents to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Enjoy working at customer locations and meeting a variety of clients within Chicagoland area.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
