Password best practices recommend using a strong and unique password for each of your online accounts. But in reality, very few people can follow this guidance. Dependence on memory and force of habit makes people use simple passwords and repeat them across accounts. However, this is a dangerous practice because even one compromised password can make you vulnerable on multiple websites.
Password management software is a game-changer. It can be utilized to automatically generate a strong, unique password each time you need one. Additionally, the generated password is saved automatically in the browser and filled across all your signed-in devices so you don’t have to remember it. Not all password managers are the same, if you are interested in deploying one please reach out for our recommendations. |

In the busyness of our daily work lives, it is easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of tasks, deadlines, and pressures. However, there is a simple, yet profound practice that can transform the workday from a grind to a more positive experience: the power of unsolicited praise.
I thought I would share a simple thing I started a few years ago when COVID began and my "happy bunny hopping 24/7 demeanor had taken a negative shift". My stressors changed, and I needed a way to pull myself out of the funk and not spiral into an unproductive mindset. I needed a way to reset my focus. Here is what I implemented for myself, try it out and see if it helps you too.
Imagine you're having one of those days where nothing seems to go right, and negativity starts to cloud your mindset. Instead of succumbing to the gloom, take a moment to pause. Then choose a colleague—any colleague—and send them a message of appreciation. This isn't about their current performance, a specific achievement or task they completed; it's a spontaneous act of kindness, expressing gratitude for their overall contribution to the team, to clients/members, and the positive influence they've had on you personally. It's remarkable how this small act can have a ripple effect. Not only does it brighten the day of the recipient, but it also has a boomerang effect on your own mindset. More often than not, this gesture of goodwill diminishes my personal negativity, allowing me to refocus.
It's like filling an emotional bucket; by ensuring someone else's moment is uplifted, you inadvertently lift your own spirits. Doing this also helps to foster a culture of positivity and recognition within the workspace, reminding us that behind every task and title, there are individuals who matter and make a difference. So, the next time the clouds of negativity loom, remember that a simple 'thank you' can be the sunshine that breaks through.
Give it a try! 😉 |

In today’s community of web designers and content writers, the general rule of thumb that has been engrained into our minds is “the lower number of clicks, the better”. What if I were to tell you that I don’t necessarily agree? Although this mentality has reduced “click-fatigue”, unfortunately it has also led to frustration as shortcuts to a solution may cause confusion.
“Reduce number of clicks to get anywhere” seems like a useful metric. But what if we change that to “reduce how difficult each click is to get anywhere”? The amount of thought required and the amount of uncertainty should be non-existent so that users know they are making the right choice.
Users do not mind a lot of clicks if each click is painless, and they have continued confidence in what they are trying to accomplish.
Links and buttons that clearly identify their target or function give off a strong assurance to users. Ambiguous links and confusing layouts do not, which is often the case if we are trying to find ways to short-cut their journey towards a goal.
Three mindless clicks, equal one click that requires thought.

If this doesn’t give you anxiety, I’m not sure what will. Instead of trying to reduce the number of click-throughs by jamming everything onto a single section, how about letting them click through a series of clearly defined questions with actions that would give them the confidence they are on the right track? |

Successful membership organizations should offer the best products and services to gain new members and continue renewals. Once members have joined, it’s important not to take that membership for granted. A great tactic is to utilize video to help keep members engaged and to inform them about member benefits, events, and updates. Here are some ways to enhance your member experience with video.
Send New Members a Welcome Video
When you get a new member, in their introductory email or package, include a welcome video from your CEO or director that gives them an overview of your organization and the benefits they will receive as a member.
Share Quarterly or Annual Updates
Your members appreciate being kept informed. Your organization most likely already shares updates about the company with your members. Try adding a video message to that communication for an extra-personal touch. These updates can often feel impersonal and routine, but adding a video where your director explains how the company is doing can help your members feel more connected.
Highlight Your Members
Have your new members create a video introducing themselves to your community. Provide them with a prompt to introduce themselves and why they are a member of your organization on video. You can keep these interesting by having people add a fun fact about themselves or something they like to do for fun. These videos will help your community connect with members so everyone feels involved.
Announce Benefits and Offerings
It’s important to keep your members aware of the value they receive as a member in order to ensure renewals. A great way to do so is to create videos that highlight new benefits or offerings for your members. These videos can be shared through email or on member-only landing pages or social channels.
Promote Member Events
Does your organization host events for your members? Promote the events with video. At the events, ask members to record a short testimonial about your organization and why they choose to be a member. You can use these videos to promote future events.
With these videos, your members will have an improved experience and will be more likely to renew. To start creating these videos, check out VideoRequest, our video software solution. With VideoRequest, you can collect, create, edit, and share videos, all from one easy-to-use platform. |
